I took a little browse through the favourites folder on my phone today and boy, what a trip to Tear Town that turned out to be.

Isn't it amazing how much can change in a year? When 2017 started I was a stay at home mom to a tiny little baby. Now I am working and that tiny little baby is edging quickly towards the toddler years (who am I kidding? She is a toddler).

Here are a few of my favourite moments from 2017:

I think the best part of this year has been watching Sophie and Grace grow their bond. They play and laugh and enjoy each others company so much now that Gracie is a little bigger.

Looking at these makes me feel such a range of emotion. On one hand, I am so sad that I am missing out on so much of Grace's growth and development because I am not home with her, and on the other, I feel so incredibly happy to know that she is so well taken care of.

The time that I get to spend alone with Sophie is the most precious time to me. It's so difficult when you grow from a family of 3 to a family of 4. My biggest challenge has been making Sophie like she is as important to me as she ever was. Some days it works, other days we struggle.

Kisses under the mountain in Swellendam, cuddles from my moo, my sweet and amazing sister. How did I ever get so lucky?

Gosh, this year has been everything. All the feelings and all the things. I am probably not going to do a recap of the year blog post because I would much rather look back at the year like this: my happiest moments.

I am so excited about everything to come in 2018, but I am also so incredibly grateful for the year I have had. It's been filled with so many amazing moments that have become amazing memories.

I love comments!
